"Pop" Robson is not to be confused with the more famous namesake who spent much time playing for Man Utd, England, and pints at the pool table.
Anyone who hails from the North East and the 60's will remember him from Sunday afternoon Shoot-fests, whispy hair flying this way and that at he 'popped' in the goals from within the six yard box.

Hard to believe he was only 17 in that photo as well... Personally I prefer the theory that he was called 'Pop' because he always looked like someone's Dad...
Yes, as many people will already be aware (like myself, a Hammers fan), 'Pop' Robson has the rather curious distinction of having played for both West Ham and Sunderland in two spells each.
Obviously his agent had shares in both clubs...
Maybe his agent just didn't like him.
