As Barry Davies said at the time: "You have to say that's magnificent".
I see Shilton in that picture too lying on the ground looking back. Did Maradona dribble past him too, or was Shilton just admiring the view?
Crackin' goal right enough.
I think Shilton was lying on the ground when Maradona picked the ball up on the half-way line...
Much as you have to respect Shilton for his long service, etc, he was getting past it by the 86 World Cup. This was a 6 foot tall man outjumped by the 5 feet 5 inch tall Maradona for the first goal in that quarter final. Ho hum...
Technically he was 5 feet 5 inch, plus arm and fist.
I got chipped once at 5-a-side from 2 yards out. It happens to all the greats!
Lol! It probably happened to me in a five-a-side match too once upon a time, but my hypnotherapist helped me to blank that one out for the sake of my future sanity...
It's a shame Shilton didn't use *his* arm and fist too. :(
shouldn't Fenwick be listed twice?
lol... Yes, I suppose so!!
